What you'll need:
As the Geelong area still has quite a few new players, this event won’t have a strict format restriction. Players need to bring at least two squads for the showdown rules. You may bring four squads for the standard premiere showdown format that we usually run but we don’t want to put pressure on folks who are just starting with their first minis.
Dice, Rulers, Cards, and Tokens are also required. If you're missing any of these, get in touch and we'll provide them on the day.
You are not required to have painted models for this event, however some prizes may only be eligible for players with a fully painted list.
Order of the Day
9:00 AM - Seaview Club Opens 10:00 AM - Round 1 will begin 12:15 AM - Round 1 complete, let's go for lunch! 1:00 PM - Round 2 will begin 3:15 PM - Round 3 will begin 5:30 PM- Round 3 complete, we'll hand out some prizes! The final 30 minutes of each round will follow the Mission Critical rule.
Player Standards
All players should endeavor to create a fun, friendly environment for their opponent. Please be patient with any of the newer players that may be taking their first dive into Shatterpoint events.
Food options
On site Bar
While Seaview does have a complete kitchen we will not be using their services this time around, but they will still have a staff member attending the bar to help out with any drinks or snacks you may need.
Group Uber Eats order
Similar to how Bam runs his events up at Melbourne, we will be making a group UBER eats pizza order for anyone who is interested in having an easy meal for the day. I’ll be going around in the morning to collect everybody’s orders and payment details later.
Nearby shopping centres and other takeout options
While sadly not in walking distance, there are a few other takeaway shops a short drive away that also offer delivery for anyone interested in something a little different. Corio Village in particular has a few options if you don’t mind a little trip down there and back.
Prizes
Participation
All players who are not participating in any of the current leagues will receive order cards from the tournament/league pack. We will also have tokens and other additional tools donated by our local community and other door prizes that any player is eligible for no matter where they place in the event.
Top placements
First place will receive a special acrylic Kit Fisto unit card, and all top 4 entrants will also receive an exclusive order card with a stamp on it.
Painting awards
During the lunch break players are free to present which of their models they would like to enter into the painting competition. There will be two categories, one for best unit and the other for best strike team.
Terrain Raffle
Any player who brings a full table worth of terrain to the event will be entered into an additional raffle for helping out our community. You’ll receive a ticket even if we end up with too many tables on the day and don’t need to setup your terrain.
Prize Support
Official AMG terrain and upcoming character packs, paint and hobby kits, and so much more that we can’t announce now (because we’re still figuring it out).
