First of all, we recommend using the Battle Company Manager website to track your Company. It's a free, easy way to manage the details of your force, including things like experience and injuries.
The Battle Companies core book contains a list of units required for your starting company. For most factions, this will be a small selection of basic infantry - usually under 10 models.
For example, the Minas Tirith Battle Company starts with just 6 Warriors of Minas Tirith, while a Mordor Battle Company consists of 9 Mordor Orcs.
If you don't have access to the book, shout out on Discord and we'll provide you with your beginning list.
No surprise here - the next thing you'll want to do is start playing. Use the Discord channel to find an opponent, organize a time, and play a match. There are 18 scenarios designed for use with Battle Companies all of which you'll find printed out in-store. Choose (or roll) for a scenario, then play a match as nomal using yor Battle Companies.
One important caveat, however; during the game, keep track of how many Wounds each member of your company inflicts upon the enemy, and which models are removed as casualties. This is how you'll determine who games any Experience Points, or sustains an Injury.
Go through the usual Aftermath steps in the Battle Companies rules. Keep in mind, you should only gain a maximum of 50 Battle Rating each round - once you've gained more than 50 Rating in a round, you can keep playing matches - however, you should not track these battles against your Battle Company.
You can expand into any adjacent hex, as long as it's unoccupied, or occupied by an opponent you beat this round.
If you win at least 1 game during a round, you can expand into a new hex! When submitting your battle report, include the label of the hex you'd like to expand into.
At the end of each campaign round (1 week), all players will expand one hex. This will be managed on the Discord.
