Hello team! I've got a few small updates for May, so I thought I'd just drop a quick post to talk about them.
As I mentioned a few weeks ago when we launched our Partnered Events feature, one of the core ideas behind Mini Myths was to facilitate more, better events. To that end, we've put up a new page about Event Assistance that showcases what we can do to help people run their events.
This is just the first step of this venture. I'm really glad we can offer things like event pages, ticketing, and prize support to other events, but one of the things I'd really like to do in the long term is offer these services without the Mini Myths branding. Assisting events shouldn't be about us - it should always be about the community of that event. While this first step still sits under the Mini Myths URL, and has Mini Myths branding, I am really hoping to be able to provide some of these services in the future using the branding of the store or club that's hosting the event.
With all that being said, if you - or someone you know - would like help organizing their next Wargaming event, I hope you'll reach out! I'd love to help make more great events, and grow the wargaming community in Victoria.
If you came to our Red Skull's Revenge event last weekend, you might have seen some MDF objective tokens floating around. This year, I really want to expand what we can provide at events for prize support. I personally love custom MDF and acrylic accessories like the ones that many of us have from BattleKiwi and Art of War, and so I decided to finally take the plunge and pick up a laser cutter (with some financial help from our friends at GetBoard.com). It's a small, entry level 10w diode laser, but it can do some cool stuff! We'll be giving away some tokens for Shatterpoint at this weekend's May the 4th event, and I'm currently working on some Lorcana tokens to prepare them for the Australian release.
