Format

300 point force based on the clash of rhyfles Main Stats PDF document. If you have the full rules or the ‘free rules 2025’ that’s fine to use as well. However, army lists can only be found in the main stats PDF and full rules. Please note there are no tractors, cavalry or any other vehicles allowed for this event. See ‘useful links’ section below for access to these documents.

If you have your faction pins from previous events, please bring them along.

Your ticket buys you:

• A place at the event and a chance at one of the three major prizes.
• A blast template.
• A Quar 2026 activation deck.

Background

Gufton remains in Crusader hands. Despite low spirits among the Royalist forces, the King insists on final push to take the beleaguered town and its surrounding areas from Crusader hands once and for all!

Description

The purpose of this event is to have some fun with our little Quar soldiers. While not fully a narrative event, you will notice that a big emphasis has been placed on telling a continuing story. By the end of the event you will have fought three battles and your Quar soldiers will have played their part in a wider narrative.

We hope to have enough Royalists and Crusaders so that there are two equal teams. We will count the result of each skirmish towards what faction retains control of the town of Gufton. In the event that the same faction has to face off against each other, we will not count the result towards the narrative. This result will not have an impact on the prizes for individual players on the day. But it will have an impact on the self esteem of the losing faction!

What you will need to play

• Good sportsmanship, patience and good communication skills, this is of paramount importance!
• A 300 point Army of any of the currently available forces from the ‘Main Stats’ PDF. You may not include Tractors, vehicles or cavalry.
• Some tokens to keep track of game conditions e.g. gobsmacked, out of action, prone, etc.
• Dice x 3
• Measuring tape.
• An Activation deck (provided)

Structure of the event

Each table will be set up to line up with a specific scenario from updated scenarios from previous events. The mission you play will depend on the table you will be assigned to.

We encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes before the event to register.

Games will last 1hour and 40 minutes or three activation decks, whatever comes first.

The event will commence at 10:30am, with round times as follows:

• Doors open – 10:30am
• Door Prize Draw: 10:45am
• Round 1 commences – 11:00am  to 12:40pm
• Lunch – 12:40pm to 1:10pm
• Round 2 commences – 1:10pm to 2:50pm
• Round 3 commences – 2:50pm to 4:30pm
• Display armies and players vote for:
• ‘Best in show’ Award
• Gentle-quar award
• Awards: 5:20pm

Prizes

Master and Quar-mander

Awarded to the player that demonstrates superior martial and tactical prowess, or in other words, the player who scores the most points overall. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest scoring points that belongs to the faction with the most victories will win.

Prize: Quar hard cover rule book and a Guf voucher.

Best in show

Awarded to the player with the best painted Army. All players will get to vote for the army they deem to have the best painted army. You may submit an army that you have used from a previous event, but this is also a good time to show off something new you’ve been working on. You will only be judged for models used in your games. If you do bring a display board, it should be the size of an A4 sheet of paper.

Prize: Guf voucher.

A true Gentle-quar

Awarded to the player who is deemed to demonstrate the most gentle-quarly behaviour by their peers. Keep in mind this does not have to be a person you played against on the day.

Prize: Hard cover rule book and a Guf voucher.
