Nemesis Ops is here! To celebrate this exciting new narrative-driven format for Kill Team, we’ve prepared a special one-day event at Guf where you get to play both the Nemesis and the Hunted!
You’ll bring your Kill Team of choice, alongside a model to use as a Nemesis! Don’t worry - we’ll have spare Kill Teams and spare Nemesises (Nemesi? Nemesis’s?) for you to borrow if you need, too.
What you need
- Any Kill Team of your choice, and an accompanying Nemesis (see below)
- All the usual Kill Team tokens, dice, rulers, etc.
Building your Team
Creating a Nemesis
We’ll complete Nemesis Creation together on the day - however, you can start thinking about what model you’ll bring with the following guidance:
Size
Determine which size best suits your Nemesis Operative. As an example, an XV8 is small, and an Armoured Sentinel is Medium. Don’t bring anything with a base over 100mm.
Size | Control* | Move | Save | Wounds | Weapons |
Small (S) | 4 | 6" | 4+ | 35 | 2 |
Medium (M) | 5 | 6" | 4+ | 50 | 2 |
Large (L) | 6 | 6" | 4+ | 75 | 3 |
* Control is a new stat for Nemesis operatives that’s used for their APL stat, but has other functions too.
Weapons and Traits
We’ll have the full list available on the day - but consider how many weapons your operative will have (based on it’s size). It will also get three traits - one is decided by it’s faction, and the two others are unique to it.
Your Kill Team
You’ll bring a standard Kill Team with the usual number of models, alongside a Nemesis that we’ll construct rules for on the day. The size and power of your Nemesis Operative determines how many models you take with you, as per the table below:
Bring your full complement on the day so you can change up your squad between rounds.
Kill Team's Normal # of Operatives | Small Nemesis | Medium Nemesis | Large Nemesis |
5 | 4 | 3 | 2 |
6 | 4 | 3 | 2 |
7 | 5 | 4 | 2 |
8 | 5 | 4 | 3 |
9 | 6 | 5 | 3 |
10 | 7 | 5 | 3 |
11 | 7 | 6 | 4 |
12 | 8 | 6 | 4 |
13 | 9 | 7 | 4 |
14 | 9 | 7 | 5 |
For example, if you’re using a Small Nemesis Operative, and your Kill Team is usually a 10 Operative Kill Team, you’d bring 7 Operatives and your Nemesis.
