League Structure
This league will be run as per the core manual with a few adjustments as described in this document. This league will be run with a single division. We will hold a public fixture at mini-myths.com. The time limit for game will be the week they are announced plus the following week to allow for coaches to catch up on games due to life commitments ie. you are not available to play your opponent for the week you may play said opponent next week as well as your new opponent. You may instead choose to concede. In which case your opponent will receive a 1-0 Win and D6x10,000 gold and pick two MVPs from their roster.
If you cannot make your game in the two-week period and choose not to concede you will be docked 3 League Points. This is to address players who are trying to avoid certain opponent. Please communicate with your opponent about the likelihood of your game.
League Scoring
Teams earn League points as follows:
- Win: 3 League points
- Draw: 1 League point
- Loss: 0 League points
Additionally, we will also be offering the following bonus League points:
- Score 3 or more touchdowns: +1 League point
- Concede 0 touchdowns: +1 League point
- Cause 3 or more Casualties (counting only those that generate SPP, as described in Step 3 of the post-game sequence): +1 League point
Drafting Teams
Teams will be drafted as described on page 30 of the core rules. If you wish to keep a paper copy of your Team Draft you can find it at the Warhammer Community: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/blood-bowl/.
We also recommend you use Death Pitch to draft and maintain your team.
The Fixture
Teams will be paired initially on team tiers to allow for the best experience in the initial rounds. The team tier list can be found in the FAQ and Errata document for Warhammer Community: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/blood-bowl/
Each coach will play 12 games on the fixture. Depending on player counts a coach may end up playing the same team twice. At the end of the fixture, we will hold a Play Offs for the finals (the size will be determined by total player count.) The fixture will be public on the Mini Myths website as well as through Death Pitch.
The Play Offs
After the fixture we will hold a Play Offs. Depending on player count this will either be top four (4) or top eight (8). The play offs will run over three (3) to four (4) weeks and will result in player knock outs.
Submitting Results:
Results will be submitted through Death Pitch to track your scores and team’s progress.
Player Expectations
Remember that this is a game of fun and dice. Players are expected to play their opponent in a fun and friendly manner. Please be honest when recording results and tracking player outcomes. Any negative play, such as not engaging with your opponent to try and farm SPP, should be reported to the TO. Anyone in breach of these standards will be docked 3 League points from their fixture (the same value as a Win.)
Painting Requirements
There is no requirement for your team to be painted at the start of the league. However, not having your team fully painted by the Play Offs will revoke your eligibility for some hobby related prizes.
Special Rules
HIGHLANDER RULE
The Highlander rule, AKA “There can be only one!” applies to all Star Players.
If opposing coaches have selected the same Star Player, the Highlander rule will apply. The Star Player storms off muttering “There can be only one!”, meaning neither team is allowed to field the Star Player in question.
The Star Player will sit out the entire match.
