Spots for this event are highly limited! Get yours before they’re sold out!
It can be hard to find the time to pick up a whole new game, let alone three - but hey, we’ve found a solution! Come along to our Learn to Play day! For this event, we’re focusing on some of our favourite skirmish games: Kill Team, Warcrow, and Halo: Flashpoint!
Even if you’ve got experience in one or two of the games we have on display, we think you’ll have a great time! When you’re playing a game you’re familiar with, flex your mentoring muscles and help a beginner discover the love of the game!
Format of the Day
You’ll play three games on the day - one of each game. The order is somewhat random, and you’ll be paired up with a fellow learn-to-player. Each table has a dedicated teacher there to help get you started and teach you the system, as well as to answer any questions you might have.
Each table will have some beginner-friendly reference cards that you can take home with you after the event, too. You don’t need to bring anything to this event - we’ll provide everything you need to play.
Kill Team
Play an awesome small-sided game using some beginner-friendly Kill Teams. If you’ve been holding off on checking out Kill Team, this is a great chance to give it a go!
Warcrow
Experience the introductory scenario to Warcrow’s latest release, Song of the Dormant! Check out a few of the Warcrow factions and learn about this incredibly unique skirmish game from Corvus Belli.
Halo: Flashpoint
Classic Halo - you’re playing Slayer! A quick-paced 4v4 battle with respawns, weapon pickups, and all the Halo flavour you can ask for.
Prizes
We want to use this fun event to get you excited about playing some new games. In that spirit, we’ve prepared a few special unique prizes for each of the systems:
Kill Team
Chaedi’s once again gone above and beyond, designing and printing these custom equipment packs. Depending on numbers, we’re hoping to have some sweet equipment for everybody to go home with.
Warcrow
Warcrow has it’s own unique measurement system called ‘Strides’, that means you can’t just use your existing Mini Myths range rulers. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone provided one at an event…
Halo: Flashpoint
To be announced! We’re cooking up some pretty sweet Halo DLC…
Other Prizes
We’ll be working with Guf to collect some cool giveaways for each system. All the prizes on the day will be door prizes, so expect a good chance to go home with some sweet merch!
