Welcome to the second annual Mini-Myths Blood Bowl league! This league will run for 12 weeks with 10 paired games. At the end of the league we will hold a finals to determine the *insert trophy name here* winner. So let's get dodgin', duckin', passin' and krumpin'. That's Blood Bowl Jim!
What You Need to Play
- A Blood Bowl team of at least 11 players.
- A set of Blood Bowl Dice (x2 D6, x3 Block D6, x1 D8, x1 D16).
- Loan sets are available upon request to the TO.
- Dice rolling apps are not acceptable for use.
- Appropriate rules document (Season 3 Core Manual and/or Spikes).
- Your team's roster.
- Pen and paper to track results and players.
- A pitch to play on.
- Guf Werribee has two pitches available, but we suggest you have your own just in case.
Registration
For registration you can register and purchase your ticket through the Mini-Myths website. We also ask that you register your team with the event on the Death Pitch app (link TBA).
League Structure
This league will be run as per the core manual with a few adjustments as described in this document. This league will be run with a single division. We will hold a public fixture at minimyths.com.
The time limit for games will be the week they are scheduled for. If you are unable to play your opponent due to life commitments, you can schedule your games in for either Week 6 or Week 12. These weeks are reserved for catch up games.
You may instead choose to concede. In which case your opponent will receive a 1–0 Win and D6 × 10,000 gold and pick two MVPs from their roster.
⚠️ If you cannot make your game in the assigned period or do not schedule a reserve game and choose not to concede, you will be docked 3 League Points. This is to address players who are trying to avoid certain opponents. Please communicate with your opponent about the likelihood of your game.
League Scoring
Teams earn League points as follows:
Result | League Points |
Win | 3 |
Draw | 1 |
Loss | 0 |
Bonus League Points
Additionally, we will also be offering the following bonus League points:
- +1 — Score 3 or more touchdowns.
- +1 — Concede 0 touchdowns.
- +1 — Cause 3 or more Casualties (counting only those that generate SPP, as described in Step 3 of the post-game sequence).
Drafting Teams
Teams will be drafted as described on page 84 of the core rules. If you wish to keep a paper copy of your Team Draft you can either export it to a PDF in DeathPitch or find it at the Warhammer Community: warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/blood-bowl.
We also recommend you use Death Pitch to draft and maintain your team.
📌 NB: Please note that in this edition, during the Post Game sequence you hire new players BEFORE you fire existing players. For more information, please read the Errata & FAQ Designer's Commentary located here: warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/bloodbowl.
The Fixture
Weeks 1 and 7 are both Grudge Rounds. If you have a particular coach or team you wish to issue a grudge to, please inform the TO. Once a player has accepted a grudge they will be unable to issue one themselves. Use grudge matches to ensure you get to play a particular player in the league in the case of a large player count.
Otherwise, teams will be paired initially on team tiers to allow for the best experience in the initial rounds. The team tier list can be found in the FAQ and Errata document for Warhammer Community: warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/blood-bowl.
Each coach will play 10 games on the fixture. Depending on player counts a coach may end up playing the same team twice. At the end of the fixture, we will hold a Play Offs for the finals (the size will be determined by total player count). The fixture will be public on the Mini-Myths website as well as through Death Pitch.
The Play Offs
After the fixture we will hold a Play Offs. Depending on player count this will either be top four (4) or top eight (8). The play offs will be a single day event. Losses will result in player knock outs.
Submitting Results
Results will be submitted through DeathPitch. This will also allow you to track your scores and team's progress. Along with results, please submit your petty cash calculations and spending for auditing purposes by the Blood Bowl League Accounting Association (BBLAA).
Player Expectations
Remember that this is a game of fun and dice. Players are expected to play their opponent in a fun and friendly manner. Please be honest when recording results and tracking player outcomes. Any negative play, such as not engaging with your opponent to try and farm SPP, should be reported to the TO. Anyone in breach of these standards will be docked 3 League points from their fixture (the same value as a Win).
This event will also be following the Mini-Myths Community Expectations. Please note that any breaches of these expectations will result in a strike. If you accrue three or more strikes then disciplinary action will be taken that may result in removal from the event, a temporary or permanent ban from future Mini-Myth events. There is a full list of community expectations regarding behaviour located on the Mini-Myths website.
Painting Requirements
There is no requirement for your team to be painted at the start of the league. However, not having your team fully painted by the Play Offs will revoke your eligibility for some hobby related prizes.
A Star Emerges
Mini-Myths is happy to introduce a new Star Player to the mix, our very own B4M!
B4M is a custom star player! No one knows what is under that barrel. All they know is that he is sturdy, bounces and sometimes rolls! B4M has the following profile:
🖼️ (B4M player card image goes here)
MA | ST | AG | PA | AV | Cost |
6 | 3 | 3+ | 5+ | 9+ | 170,000 GP |
Skills & Traits: Thick Skull, Dodge, Steady Footing, Pro, Fend, Stunty, Loner (4+)
Special Rule — 99 Barrels of B4M: Once per game, if this player would be knocked down, either from a block or from tripping and falling over, you may use this ability. This player does not get knocked down, or falls down, and remains standing. This still causes a turnover and the player's activation ends. If the player was in possession of the ball when using this ability, they still remain in possession of the ball.
📌 As we are using B4M alongside DeathPitch, please inform the TO when he is taken as an inducement, as well as the petty cash that was calculated for the match, to ensure your treasury is above board.
Special Rules
Highlander Rule
The Highlander rule, AKA "There can be only one!" applies to all Star Players.
If opposing coaches have selected the same Star Player, the Highlander rule will apply. The Star Player storms off muttering "There can be only one!", meaning neither team is allowed to field the Star Player in question. The Star Player will sit out the entire match.
"Why do you think there are 99 of him?"
Note that B4M is exempt from this rule.
You can find the reference for this rule at bigvbloodbowl.com/roster-rules.
