For the best chance at victory, your army should be able to complete a variety of missions!
The Most Important Rule:
This game is designed to be played in a generous spirit, in a manner befitting the gentlest and noblest of hobbits. This is also found within the rulebook, and thus not following the code of conduct is akin to violating any other rules. Ensure you speak to the TO or referees if you have any disputes whatsoever in your games as they occur. Tournament Points can be taken, as well as remove players if they do not follow this.
Teams: This tournament is constructed of teams of 3 players battling against each other to determine who will reign supreme. When deciding on your lists, keep in mind some restrictions:
- No team can contain more than 1 of any army list.
- No more than 1 of any named hero across the team. This even counts for multiple versions of the same hero (Boromir of Gondor/Captain of the White Tower, Aragorn/King Elessar, Sauron/The Necromancer, The Witch King of Angmar (Angmar/Dol Guldur/Mordor) etc).
At the beginning of each round, you will meet with the team you are matched up against. There, you will go through the following steps to determine which of the members of your team will face which members of the opposing team.
- Go over each of the opponents lists
- Secretly choose one member of your team to be put forward as your Lead Player.
- Each team reveals their Lead Player simultaneously to their opponent.
- Then, each team secretly chooses one of their opponent’s two remaining players to play against their own Lead Player. Each team simultaneously reveals who is the Chosen Player.
- Then, the two remaining players are designated as the Leftover Player.
At the end of this process, the matchups should appear as such:
Game 1. Lead Player A vs Chosen Player B
Game 2. Lead Player B vs Chosen Player A
Game 3. Leftover Player A vs Leftover Player B
