Welcome to the player pack for Ratcon 2025. We are aiming to provide you a place to get together for a great weekend of wargaming. Whether you enjoy the competitive side of 40k or are more hobby-focused, we hope there will be something for you at Ratcon!
This event will be ITC ranked and will be using modified 10th Edition strike force missions. For more information, please see the mission pack.

Army Lists:
- Due: Friday 7th November, 9:59pm
- Submit via Best Coast Pairings
- Format: Typed list or GW App/New Recruit export showing only points/wargear.
- Penalty: 10–50 point deduction for late/resubmitted lists.

- Limit: 100 spots

Refund Policy:
- Full refunds before Friday 17th October
- After that, no refunds but you may sell your ticket (contact TOs)
Dice Down
- Complete your games within 3-hour rounds.
- When "dice down" is called, stop immediately and submit scores.
- Failure = double loss (0–0).
- Day 2 undefeated tables will use chess clocks.
Terrain
- Three types of GW-inspired layouts:
- Shooting-friendly
- Melee-friendly
- Balanced
- Tables remain fixed for all rounds.
Army Selection & Battle Score (5500 points total)
- Armies must be Battle Forged, up to 2,000 points.
- No Legends allowed.
- Each battle scores up to 100 (max 500 from games).
- Results bonus:
- Win: +1000 points
- Draw: +500 points
- Loss: 0 points
Presentation Score (1100 points)
- All models MUST be painted and based to battle-ready standard.
- Checked in Round 1.
- If models fail, 10-point bonus must not be added. Penalties apply if breached.
Scoring Tiers:
- Good: Simple base, minimum standard — 500 points
- Better: Multiple colours, shading, detailed base — 700 points
- Best: High-level paintwork, advanced techniques, scenic base — 1000 points
- +100 points: Top 10 armies (TO judged)
Conversions & Proxies
- Non-GW models must be equal or superior in quality and recognisable.
- Dimensions and weapons must match GW standards.
- If unsure, contact TOs via Facebook.
Sportsmanship Score (1000 points)
- Starts at 1000 points.
- Strikes reduce points:
- 1 Strike: -200, ineligible for Best Sports
- 2 Strikes: -500, personal notice
- 3 Strikes: -1000, may lead to disqualification
Best Sports Vote: After Game 5.
