A Quarmaggedon Quar-terly Event

Stole the name from Rob, who suggested Quar-terly events! Now, of course this is all because of our shared love of puns.

Seriously speaking, I hope to run a Quar related event each Quarter this year — hoping to have two painting challenges and two one day events. If there's enough support it should be a wonderful year full of Quar fun!

To start off, we will run a single Quar model painting competition.

Step 1 — Procure a Quar Mini

Get a single Quar mini that you have not painted previously. It may be one that you have already assembled or primed. It may also be one of the civilian miniatures that were given out as a door prize at our last event.

I will provide some links at the bottom for places where you can obtain them — of course, I'm pretty sure Guf may have a box or two laying around.

The model may be plastic from the sprue, 3D printed, or maybe you want to kitbash a hero or survivor from Quarmaggedon I or Quarmaggedon II. It doesn't matter as long as it is a single Quar model on a 25mm base.

Step 2 — Register Your Mini

Post the mini here on the Quarmaggedon page and private message me to let me know you're taking part. Maybe even message me with your real name so I know who's who and what's what.

Deadline: 15th of March

Step 3 — Paint It Up

Paint up that mini — you will have until the 30th of April! I know this leaks into the second Quar-ter, but don't worry about it…

Step 4 — Judgement Day

We will be doing this competition 'Crusader' style — that means no judges. It'll be a popular vote from all the members and lurkers here at Quarmaggedon. I hope that this will give people more scope to be creative and just have fun with it. We'll give this a couple of days.

The models with the most votes will each receive a hardcover copy of the latest Clash of Rhyfles rulebook! There are a total of two up for grabs, and maybe I'll come up with a prize for 3rd place — see how I feel…
