Battleplan is available now, in your web browser, at battleplan.app!
Battleplan is back, baby.
I’m very pleased to announce that after a significant hiatus, the Battleplan App you know and love has returned - and it’s better than ever.
For those of you who might not know, Battleplan was an app we put together a year or two ago to help book tables at Guf Werribee. The app worked really well, but unfortunately the technology that I built the app on became prohibitively expensive - before shutting it down, I was paying $60 USD a month to keep Battleplan running - no thanks!
But we’ve squirreled ourselves away and built something new, and I’m really excited to show you what we’ve been working on.
Table Bookings

Of course, Battleplan now allows you to book a table at Guf. You can choose a date, a timeslot, and input what game you’ll be playing, too.
Eagle-eyed users might remember that the old app had the functionality to share a booking with a friend. I’m still working on that one, so for now, you’ll just have to let whoever you’re playing with know that you’ve made the booking.
The store can see all bookings that players have made, and the app wont allow a booking if all tables are taken - so rest assured, your table will be ready and waiting for you.
Currently, Guf’s limited to four table bookings - once we’ve cleared off those pesky last two tables, we’ll bring the capacity back up to the full six tables.
Collections

This time around, I really want Battleplan to add more to your gaming and hobby life. Over the years, quite a few of you have seen my own miniature management system and have asked me what tools I use to track my collection.
If you’re looking for something to use to keep track of your minis, I’m hoping Battleplan can be an awesome tool for you! Currently you can track miniatures and put them into collections (for example, the box they came in, or the squad they’re a part of, or the army they’re in).
You can add purchase information, upload a photo, tag what’s been painted, and even add lore information or notes about how you painted them.
You can also share your models and collections with a public link, so you can show people what you’ve been working on. We’re planning to add more community features like this as time goes on, so you can browse Battleplan to find inspiration or simply browse the community’s hard work.
This is a feature we’re planning to work on well into the future, and your suggestions will help pave the way!
Here’s what a shared collection looks like, by the way - check out my Navy Breachers!
Battles

We’ve also popped in a feature to help track your battles and tabletop games. At the moment, this one is pretty barebones - you can track what game you played, when, and who won.
Later, we’ll show you stats and information about how you faired in various games against your opponents, so you can analyze that data and sledge your opponents. We’re actively working on this feature right now, so expect to see it soon!
Other Stuff too!
We’re currently working on a wishlist feature to help you find the best price on a new miniature purchase, and working through some features to add friends and quickly invite them to games. We’ve also got concepts around managing your paint collection, and using the app to actually post an LFG and find an opponent. All of this will take some time, but we’re excited to build it!
Battleplan will also be part of our Mini Myths Memberships when they go live at some point…
We still need more beta testers! If you’re keen to use a sneak-preview version of the app and try out some features before they go live to everyone else, please let me know!
Thanks for checking out Battleplan - If nothing else, I really hope it makes your gaming life just a little bit easier!
